We all want to change our name at some point in our lives. Whether it is because of marriage, divorce or just a new identity, we need to change our name on Facebook too.
Here are five easy steps to help you change your name on Facebook:
1) Go to your Facebook profile by clicking the account icon in the top-right corner of the screen.
2) Click “Edit” and then “Update Info”. 3) Select a new name from the drop-down menu under “Name”.
4) Click “Save Changes” and then click “Done”.
5) To ensure that your friends and family see this change, go back to your profile page, click Edit Profile, and select who should see this as Public.
How Long Does a Facebook Name Change Take?
Facebook name changes are not instantaneous. They take around 2 weeks to go through. Facebook will send you an email once your new name is available.
If you’re changing your name in order to avoid harassment, we recommend that you use a nickname or middle initial rather than your legal name.
What Happens When I Change My Name On Facebook?
You can update your name on Facebook by going to Settings and clicking on General.
You can change your first and last names, but you need to be careful with this because you will lose all your friends if you do this. If you want to delete a page but the page is still connected to another page, the only way to do this is by deleting the other page.
